Installation

Use the official installer path first, then reopen Revit and sign in inside the plugin.

Each supported version is validated before release.

Official installation method

  • Download and run the official OS Production AI installer. This is the recommended path for most users.
  • Close Revit before installing or updating.
  • Follow the installer steps.
  • Reopen Revit after installation.

First launch

  • Open Revit after installation.
  • Launch Osai from the Osai ribbon.
  • Sign in with your Google account.
  • Use the same email address used at checkout to activate your subscription.
  • New users can start the 7-day trial after signing in.

Advanced manual bundle installation

Use this only for advanced troubleshooting or manual support. Copy the OS Production AI.bundle folder to:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

Close Revit before copying or replacing bundle files.

Uninstall and cleanup

Close Revit before uninstalling or cleaning up files.

Official installer uninstall

Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > OS Production AI > Uninstall

Manual bundle uninstall

Delete only this bundle folder:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\OS Production AI.bundle

Legacy add-in cleanup

Troubleshooting only: if a duplicate add-in warning appears, remove old developer/add-in files that match OSProductionAI.* from:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\20XX\OSProductionAI.*

Do not delete unrelated Autodesk or Revit add-ins.

Troubleshooting

Common setup and output questions to check first.

Osai does not appear in Revit.

Close Revit, rerun the official OS Production AI installer, and reopen Revit. For advanced manual bundle installs, confirm OS Production AI.bundle is in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins.

Revit shows a duplicate AddInId error.

Close Revit first. If a duplicate add-in warning appears, remove only old OS Production AI .addin or related OS Production AI files from C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>. Do not delete unrelated Autodesk or Revit add-ins.

Dimensions are missing or incomplete.

Some geometry, curtain wall openings, irregular rooms, or unsupported references may require manual review. Always verify generated dimensions.

Arabic tags or translations are missing.

Confirm the required dictionary file/path is available if Arabic support is used.

Generated output needs adjustment.

Osai accelerates documentation but users must review and adjust generated outputs according to project and office standards.

Osai automates documentation workflows, but it does not replace professional judgment. Always review generated sheets, dimensions, tags, schedules, and documentation before construction, permit submission, fabrication, or production use.
